Ooooh. That’s awesome to hear! These CDs add a whole new dimension to the books; now you’ll be able to listen to your favorite characters suffer in surround sound~
Where’d you buy the CDs from, out of curiosity?

I bought them second-hand on Amazon, from various vendors. Most don’t ship outside of Japan, but I could solve this issue by entrusting the transport to my Japanese friend.
I did not really find any other online shops with reasonably priced copies though - where did you get yours from? (I tried Rakuten and Bookoff and one or two other online stores, to no avail.)
A combination of yahoo Japan auctions, Suruga-ya, and Mercari! Those are my usual go-tos, and they haven’t disappointed me yet. Had to hunt a bit to find drama CD 3, granted.
Bit of a random question, but do all of the F&B CDs have bookmarks included with them @ekg? They’re a first printing bonus, right? Did all the CDs get a bookmark?
Hmm, not that I know of. Now I feel like an old woman, could I have gotten something extra and put aside to store, but now I forgot?
I don’t keep anything but the CDs, where they’re kept. Anything else, I know I don’t throw stuff away, but it’s also pretty much a black hole situation at my place when it comes to manga/Japanese media extras included with any order.
No worries, I definitely understand, haha. Especially if you’re buying secondhand, there’s no guarantee you’ll have all the little extras as well. I think most of the time I’ll have obis and stuff included with secondhand goods that I buy, but occasionally it’s just the product itself; takes me by surprise, haha.
Yeah, that never cease to amaze me about the quality of Japanese second hand stuff. I must be honest though, when it comes to obis I’m like this looks pretty and it’s nice, but now what? What do I do with it. I can’t throw it away, but also, I don’t keep it with the manga since they’re in the way for easy access to reading. ^^’ It’s a conundrum!
A question for you all!
I’m honestly confused about the nomenclature for the watch schedule. Sure, the tracks have names, but they’re also just numbered tracks to me (first to last). ^^;
Going forward, rather than listing which track/scene corresponds to which chapter -which was just a one-off anyway since it requires me to be listening ahead fast forward and back to realize what’s what (which I just don’t wanna do going forward), yeah, maybe I’ll just list track (=just 1-? on each CD, since this is the most objective metric) and then scene number (since that’s what’s used to describe them)?
I’ll let you decide what to use in your comments to let people know what your comment is about, but it’s of course possible to use both (to be extra clear, I mean).
Any thoughts?
I think listing both track and scene number would be good; in an ideal world they would match up, but since they don’t, maybe it would be best for clarity if both were listed.
Thanks for the feedback! We’ll see if any one else weighs in, but that’s my thought on making the next schedule. And of course, people can just ask to have stuff added or removed down the road anyway, but still, I felt like this was good time to ask! ^>^
So it looks like I might accidentally end up with a second copy of the third Special Talk CD (corresponding to CDs 7, 8, and 9; it’s a bright blue CD, for those trying to figure out which one based on photos. I wish they would label which numbers the Special Talk CDs correspond to on the disks…); it came with a copy of CD 9 that I was buying secondhand. I have a second order which should be arriving next week that should have the copy I originally ordered; if I do end up with two copies, would anyone here be interested in taking this one off my hands? I’m happy to give it away for the price of shipping.
The Special Talk CDs contain, to my understanding, cast commentary and BGMs from the main BLCD series, for those unaware.
I might actually be interested! I guess we can somehow figure out the logistics.
Ooops, forgot to post this comment it seems! XD
I’m sure I’ve listened to this one. Yeah, this is the typical format. I do like it though.
I can set up a thread for chatting about these audio extras!
We can use spoiler tags for anything spoilerish so people can get into it later. But, it’s mostly the actors talking about their real lives and whatnot. XD
I’m totally onboard with doing this thing! Glad to see @NicoleIsEnough also showing interest! ^^
it took me a while to set that up, since I had to dig up the names of minor characters on Gloria! XD I wanted it to be as complete as possible, including links to the voice cast.
Anyway, now the thread is up and running, we can now start to think about how we’re going to attack these specials. I now realize I don’t have all of these, there are more than i figured.
Anyway, here’s the thread! ^>^
There are basically 2 types of specials. The bangaihen-CDzs are original stories, that takes place within the F&B story, but are unattached to the events of the main plot as such.
Then there are the Special talks/free talks, which are the voice actors chatting among themselves.
Since these differ in scope and type, we might chose different approaches for these? The ones with mini-episodes can be talked about much in the same way as we do the main series. But, the chat-tracks are more chaotic and might be more about us working on our listening comprehension in general. There really aren’t much spoilers mentioned, but some actors appearing on some parts of these are spoilers in and of itself. (like Drake and Good Will ).
Thoughts everyone?
Actually, let’s just check which extras we’ve got? I’ll post a poll in the discussion thread, where all the extras are listed. I’m also not sure I managed to list all…^^; But, I’m sure we can bring any issues up in the discussion anyway.
I guess, since this is the last week of our current listening schedule, we could start planning for the next Drama CD.
There is really no rush here, but I’ll let you vote on some possible dates.
Not sure what’s the best way to do this, but I decided to give everyone 3 votes, so vote for the dates you would most prefer.

@Angelica7714 @sycamore @pyororon it woud be great if you added your votes to this poll to let us know what you think about the scheduling!
I guess, it’s been a week and those that wanted to have voted. It would seem that we’ll move onto Flesh & Blood 2 on the 11th of Mars! I’ll have a new discussion thread up by then! ^>^
Nice! I will hopefully receive my CD on the 6th, so I‘ll be on board with y’all right from the start!
Glad to hear that!
Discussion thread is now live! ^>^
