Wanikani does have some bits and pieces of extra vocabulary (mainly revolving around the kanji it teaches), and because i found this tool sooooooo very useful, i was wondering if any of you happen to know any similar tools for learning grammar and/ or vocabulary, maybe by the same creators, or having a similar format. I know the answer is probably no, because such a great resource is hard to come by, but yeah please do tell if anyone knows any others like it.
Bunpro may be with looking into for grammar.
For general reading practice, I really enjoyed this (free) any anki deck: Guide for Beginners - Japanese like a breeze
Make sure to customize the deck to show kana/kanji instead of rÅmaji (there are instructions on the site).
Cure Dolly on youtube is probably the most useful thing Iāve found and would suggest it first & foremost.
Tae Kim is a lot of peopleās favorites, though I havenāt used it extensively.
Imabi is another one I do like for references and get a second POV
Bunpro is an interactive one if you want to learn grammar, but only free for a month.
Genki 1 while watching Tokini Andy is another great way to go about it. I donāt love Genki on itās own, & I got it for the workbook mainly while I was learning through Cure Dolly & is still great for supplemental.
Finally, Tadoku Graded Readers are a great way to begin reading more, starting at your level. Youāre not supposed to look up words while youāre doing it, but I look up Kanji I donāt know.
That Japanese Man Yuta & Kaname Aito are great youtube channels with single subject videos & some of my favorite Iāve found.
All in all, WaniKani, Cure Dolly, Genki workbook, & graded readers (along with a lot of japanese input from shows that use daily japanese) have worked great for me.
