Ocurred to me during the week that I probably should be mentioning what anime epsiode each reading corresponds with, in case people want to watch it alongside. In which case: this week’s reading brings us to the end of the first episode.

Fun chapter, I liked the explanation of the wine brewing process. 大樹 looked good with the beard, kind of wish he could’ve kept it lol
I do think I would’ve liked a bit more time spent on showing them carry out their experiments (eg: noting down ratios etc) since that would be a fairly important part of the process. Also wild that the second chapter has a 1 year timeskip already
Did enjoy the mario reference at the start of the chapter

I thought so too. But it’s unhygenic, apparently. Reckon Senku’s just jealous that he can’t grow a magnificent beard like that.

Summary

Vote 3 for liking the beardy look. I thought he had a bit of a game of thrones vibe, although I was also getting William Riker from Star Trek.

They have revival fluid. But more importantly…they have alcohol!!

Two great scenes showing the difference between Senku and Taiju. The first was Senku gently squeezing grapes with his fingers, while Taiju smashes them by the bucket load with his feet. The second was Senku delicately sipping a glass of wine, while Taiju just takes a big swig!
