It’s so random I wonder how I got to level 35 lol
Started to get discouraged around 18 but have picked up the pace since. Have found writing down meanings with cryptic pnemonics helps me remember them easier
You sure are taking a while with 60, you plan on hitting 61 any time soon?
Seems like I haven’t unlocked it yet. Ah, Wanikani is so slow I tell you :P
I just turned on vacation mode
I have found a not very fast but steady approach, I hope to keep so until level 60. I can’t believe I’m past the half way.
Still finding my rhythm with Wanikani. Currently aiming for 15 lessons every 2 days or so and trying to do the reviews at least twice a day. Seems to be working okay atm.
I left Japan for 3 years and have now returned . . . back to studying for the JLPT exams . . . Hope to get through a few more levels before the December exams, when I sit the N4 and should comfortably pass this time . .
Got burnt out at level 39, to the point where I didn’t touch WK at all for 3 months.
When I came back, I had 1000+ lessons to do and 2000+ reviews.
To catch up, I got through all the lessons in a month or so, then had to endure 600 reviews daily for a few weeks.
This is what it looks like now for me:
I have to do minimum 25 lessons and 300 reviews a day to keep up.
I’m glad I came back and got through it, though!
EDIT: What really helped me get through reviews quickly was this: LipSurf - WaniKani Voice Dictation. Review while you eat, do chores, etc
I found that I could do 50% more reviews within 1 hour by speaking instead of typing, it’s definitely saved a lot of time.
Bit embarrassing compared to most other folks posting here! But what the hell. Gotta hold myself accountable… Hoping to get the next levels down to 14 - 21 days again . Doing two rounds of review in the morning and evening and 10 lessons a day.
