Different Lessons Number on Third Party Apps

Hi,

I have tried multiple apps, and each of them shows me 20 lessons and 0 reviews at the moment, while WaniKani shows me 0 lessons and 0 reviews. So, the review section is always in sync with WaniKani, but the lessons section always shows more than WaniKani. Why is this happening? Is this an error on my part? I didn’t do any lesson till now on the Apps.

Hey all, I reset my account recently after a long break and have just noticed that Smouldering Durtles shows 59 lessons available, while the WK web app says “Done, check back tomorrow!”. Any idea what could be causing the discrepancy? I’m unsure of whether to stop for now like the web app is saying or to grind through more lessons as shown in the Android app. Thanks!

If so, what’s throwing you off is that 3rd party apps will have the actual number from the API (unless they go out of their way to do otherwise), whereas WaniKani is trying to give them to you a little at a time to avoid overwhelming. Just click where it says “Advanced” and you should see what you expect.

This script will give you the correct total lesson count in Wanikani. You will have a better comparison with this data.
