So… we need to stab things?

Stab people?

No wait, I’ve got it. The answer is Same-Type Attack Bonus.

I think the appropriate theme music for this puzzle is “The Moonlight Sonata but the bass is a bar late and the melody is a bar early

Moonlight Sonata was the 2nd song I learned on piano. That rendition really messes with my head :no_mouth:

Totally innocuous question here, but…
Does anyone know why some badges don’t appear in the badge list? Has it always been that way?

Yes, there are some badges that don’t show up in the main badges list, such as High Five from just after the forum migration.

Second totally innocuous question…
Do we know who @DurtleHeaven is?

They made a disclaimer that they’re not affiliated with WK, but I don’t know if I believe them.

Only 6 posts, two of which were 5hrs ago, and suspiciously like hints.

I noticed while looking at my shiny new Stabby Durtle that it doesn’t show up in the badge list, and wondered what its origin was. I searched for Stabby, and suddenly noticed a feature of the Search that I never noticed before. Beside the search results, it shows users that (I think) are supposed to be related to your search results… e.g. like maybe that user frequently uses the searched word or whatever. But the only user that showed up for ‘Stabby’ was DurtleHeaven. I clicked on it/him/her, and noticed the 6 posts. The one about “I could always ask if all my friends are still alive, have they noticed I’m missing?” sounds like it’s screaming “Hey, I’m a hint”… but no one in the nearby posts seemed to react at all.

Could totally be a bunny trail, but…

I kinda think he’s just playing a role.

DurtleHeaven was created Dec15th. When did the puzzle actually start?

Well we all started getting this badge on Christmas Day, which is when people noticed the QR code and it led them to the puzzle.

Christmas day was when the ‘Ghost of Christmas Durtle’ was handed out and Naph discovered the QR code in it that led to the puzzle.

Also, all six of @DurtleHeaven’s posts show up indivdually when you search for “Stabby” and “stabb”, in spite of her/him/they/it seemingly never using any such word.

On the other hand, the search function is a bit finicky; its seems every post with a word like it’s, that’s or she’s shows up when you search for just “stab”.

Very interesting about December 15th, though.

Edit: It seems you can change your username. Perhaps DurtleHeaven’s previous name included some variation of the word “stab”?

Well he would have had to have it deployed, tested, and ready before the official launch. Why is the 15th significant?

Nothing in particular about the 15th; just that it seemed significant that the account predated the public release of the puzzle; as thought he account owner had inside knowledge.

That being said, all of that goes out the window if you can change your username.
