Wha… whaaat? My geometry class watched Clue and The Matrix on loop for a year so… ever since then it was hard for me to keep up in progressive years of math ![]()
edit: you really don’t need to read into this or any other movie stuff, btw.

Hey, that looks like another clue!
Hm. Just thought of this again. Excursion. 遠足. Example sentences are physically below on the page.
Not sure if that’s a lead.
Eh, geometry always seemed like a dead-end branch off the main-line anyway, at least until the super-crazy math. The subsequent years seemed to ignore everything from geometry and just start over with Trig.
Well yeah, following geometry is stuff like linear algebra, which is… not fun.
Also we have to “collect” keywords, which could imply an act of going somewhere. (in English at least)
Lol, now I’m seeing patterns everywhere.
Combine Clue, Geometry, Matrix, what do you get? Linear Algebra.
One could argue that you didn’t actually give any help for the last one, sooo…
Yeah, one of the words in that post is certainly a clue. Just gotta try each one and see what connections pop out.
I’m inclined to believe that.
edit: which shouldn’t have been a reply to koichi, sorry for the random notification.
Yes we do and you know it.
American public school → Imperial system of units
Imperial system of units + TMNT time travel = Japanese era names
The 平成 period began when Emperor Hirohito ascended into the heavens.
It will end when Emperor Akihito descends from to the mortal realm while still alive.
When Akihito abdicates, he will receive the title of 上皇.
What do you get when you turn 皇 upside-down? You get GMAH, or 土一日竹.
Do itchy Nietzsche chick.
…
I tried it; didn’t work.
Curse you for leading us astray.
Maybe it’s touchy itchy Nietzsche chick
Also: boo. Standing by my BayStars, even though it’s tough.
So, if we take Koichi at face value (I know), there’s no math past geometry, and it’s nothing to do with movies.
… but … but then you’d be combining kun’yomi and on’yomi in the same compound! Such a mixing of of etymological roots would be completely unprecedented!
Not just any clue:
Putting “clue” and “matrix” in the same clause seems somehow significant. It’s also an interesting use of the word “progressive”; I’m not a native speaker, but I’d’ve used a simpler word, like “following” or “coming”. I can’t quite figure out what it might point to, though.
We might consider if there’s anything we can do with common matrix operations, such as transposes. I’m too out of the loop by now to figure out what that would entail, though.
Edit: There is something called Raven’s Progressive Matrices that are used to test abstract reasoning.
Not sure how that might apply here, unless you can find a progressive pattern in the sequence of kanji given or something like that.
I, for one, wasn’t a part of that decision. That was a bit of rushed judgment on the part of a few (sorry to throw y’all under the bus
)
All hands raised for a clue for the rest of us ![]()
Yeah, I think that entire poll took place while I was asleep. So I’m with you - everyone who didn’t vote, or voted on a clue for this puzzle, should get a clue. ![]()
I got a pentagram and evil…it’s all matching up!
I vote we get more red herrings
If we buy you a TMNT onsie, will you play quietly in the corner? ![]()
Yes
