So I hit level 60 at the end of last November in preparation for the JLPT N1. It took me about two and a half years of wanikani to do it, so not the fastest ever but I’m proud of it.
I ended up failing N1 by a very slim margin. Now it’s time to take my revenge.
This thread is to chronicle my attempts at clearing my current review stack. I’m not sure if anyone has ever attempted to clear a stack this large, so we’ll see how far I get. If I remember correctly I average about 200 reviews an hour, so this should take me at LEAST 17 hours to clear (add on extra for all the vocab that will inevitably come right back in the pile). Wish me luck
That´s the highest number I have seen here. Why didn’t you engaged vacation mode after finishing?
Yo should film your screen and make a quick edit of the big number at the start and then the final 0, and make it into a GIF. It could be used to motivate people complaining about 300 reviews.
I only had like 700 reviews after being inactive for few months, but my level is low I guess. Anyway, good luck. Oh, and I support the idea of making a gif out of your screen
Did another 300ish. It’s crazy how much motivation making a thread like this will give you.
It’s hard not to feel bad when you miss a bunch of words you ought to know. Clearing a stack like this basically consists of 18 hours of having that feeling when a word is on the tip of your tongue but you just barely don’t remember it. It’s honestly maddening.
I’m so impressed right now!
…
And a little scared. I would never be able to endure a stack of reviews that big.
I look forward to that gif, and the inspirational boost you will give us when you’ve finally reached 0
