Another 400 down! I think I’m just about burnt out for today, so I’m going to call it here and rest my hands and brain, this is going to be a marathon not a sprint.

You’re doing amazing! I’ve come back from nearly as many before, and it was a long struggle, but felt so good to get through them. It takes a while to really get the apprentice & guru items down after that sort of a review slog, but it will get better. I’m in the process of another dig out at the moment after my husband was hospitalized this summer and it set back my learning time in a big way for a while. but I’ve managed to get my queue down below 800 after it was nearly to 3000 items, and I’m tackling a few lessons a day, too, just to keep learning something new alongside the old. You can do this! Can’t wait to see your success both with your review queue and with the JLPT!

I have been on wanikani for about 4 years, and within that time have taken several 3-12month breaks, and for some reason never used the vacation mode. So I have had quite a few times (upon my return) stacks of several thousand to do, I think the highest was 2900.
All I can offer is my support, and the words of “you can do it”!

Just as I expected, about 100 of the 900 reviews I cleared came right back in. On the bright side I did burn about 300 so that’s nice. At that pace I should be able to burn about 1000 of these which will feel nice.

Been listening to a lot of the new yorushika album エルマ, its a great blend of catchy uplifting rock melodies, chill lofi, and clever lyrics. That, this thread, and coffee are the only things keeping me going lol.
Actually on that note, if people have any good J-rock suggestions please let me know. I need like 10 more hours of music to listen to
