I really miss being able to monitor my daily accuracy and various other stats. I now have no way to measure the effectiveness of changes in my studying. Is the API going to be opened up again? Is there another way to do this?

it broke after wk update, no?
To this day I have a streak , but since the update every 3 or 5 days it resets everytime.

The heat map is not broken. If you do all your reviews on one device, it works just as before.
The issue is if you use multiple devices, then it only picks up the stats from the one where the script is installed, not all of them as before.
I suggest posting in Kumirei’s thread about this, because that’s not happening to me. Though, if you vary which device you use for different days, yeah, that would break the streak.

that’s odd, it was working for the last 2 years showing the streak since I started wanikani, but after the update didnt work anymore.

You can manually get your streak back even. But, you’ll have to check out Kumi’s thread for more info. Also, update to the latest version of the Heatmap is necessary. My streak broke with the update. After updating the heatmap the next day, it’s still ongoing for me.

One device? That’s too bad. Maybe we have to pray to the WK gods to fix the API or just add this to WK.

It’s very intentional this change though. Basically it became a strain on the whole back-end side of WK. that’s why they took it away. So, I doubt they’ll reinstate it. That being said, there’s some discussions in Kumi’s thread about work-arounds that’s worth taking a look at.

Right. Probably not scalable in its current form. The fix would be fixing that problem. The prayer is for them thinking that is worth the trouble.
