Hey folks,
I was reading NHK easy this morning and came across the word “落とされて.”
I can’t for the life of me figure out the “sare” part of the conjugation.
Any help would be appreciated!

It’s the て form of the passive.
落とす
落とされる
落とされて
Xに落とされた
X (に/から) 送られた
Xに食べられた
TL;DR of passive. Translates as “dropped by X, sent by x, eaten by x.” Note that から can sometimes be used to avoid particle confusion, or depending on verb nuance.
