Hi everyone! I have just reached level 60! Took me 362 days.

I am from Australia, currently in my final year of high school, so it has been very difficult to balance all the reviews and lessons with all my schoolwork, but I’m so glad I made it here. I began wanikani as a supplementary resource to my Japanese subject at school, but it gradually became the trigger and gateway for me to pursue other Japanese resources, become an independent learner, and truly develop Japanese language learning as a strong passion and hobby of mine. Establishing wanikani as a part of my daily routine ensured I never missed a day of it, and throughout all the levels it never felt like a chore to do, which allowed me to finish quite quickly, but everyone should go at the pace they feel comfortable with. Wanikani sent me on the path which allowed me to move away from the rigidity and pure fundamentals of my school textbooks to actually reading, listening, writing, and speaking natural Japanese, which is what I had always wanted to do since my beginning on level 1.
My journey is far from over, and from now on I will thoroughly enjoy smoothing out the creases in my kanji knowledge through lots of immersion. For the time being, I’ll finish the rest of these level 60 kanji. Good luck with your language learning adventures everyone! Don’t give up!
