Won’t accept answer, won’t give hints. Just shakes and gets stuck. I’ve read some past explanations on this forum. Just restarted the PC. Cleared browsers. Tried firefox and chrome. No random spaces in my input.
Which kanji is it?
It’s 1 or yiqi. I’ve gotten it to sporadically accept an answer but then the next kanji won’t go through.
Just in case you skipped over the lesson content because previous knowledge, are you being asked for the Kanji or the radical? The 一 radical is “ground” in wanikani terms, but because the Kanji is “one” I think it would just shake?
I’m on like day 2 or 3 of radical and unlocked the first kanji. My inputs are using their hiragana keyboard.
For the kanji you’ll have to input both the meaning and the reading. If it shakes, it suggests you’re inputting the other one to what it is asking for.
Oh that was it. Thanks
Hooray for problem solving
If you’re entering that for the reading, you’re not going to get the right kana.
How does that become いち on any IME (afaik)?
There is an official guide of how to type in WaniKani, and another one from the same company on how to type in Japanese in general.
Thanks. I’m getting to that part now. So far the split is like… hours of anki deck and a few minutes of wanikani. Surely that changes soon.
