[Blog Suggestion] Featuring community-written articles on Tofugu

This might have been brought up before, but I still wanted to ask whether there is a world in which some community contributions (eg. original, thoughtful, and well-written community posts) could be featured as full-fledged blog articles on Tofugu’s website.
n.b. I also might be ignorant and this happened in the past. If this is the case, please disregard my post

My reasoning

My reasoning is twofold. First, I noticed some time ago that no new article has been released for a while now on the main Tofugu website ( I think the last one was released in 2023). It is not my place to question the reason behind this (be it a creative or more practical decision), but I have always loved reading them. I think they were very useful, and particularly enjoyed reading about different language tips, grammar points, about new resources to use, or simply reading about various aspects of Japanese culture and society.

At the same time, I have had time in recent weeks and months to explore more community blogs and contributions. I have been using WaniKani since 2022, but I only recently discovered how useful being part of this community is. In particular, I found that some blog posts are thoughtful and very well-written, and in my humble opinion, are worthy of being shared with a wider audience.

So, what I would like to propose is to have a section where, occasionally, some articles written by the community could be shared.

Of course, the blog posts should be adapted, perhaps polished, to fit Tofugu’s article guidelines, but in general, I think it could be a useful addition to Tofugu’s webpage all the while also promoting WaniKani’s community feature. While I know that the community feature of WK is specifically made for users to have a platform where they can share their own thoughts and experiences, for the wider audience, and for those not familiar with WK, Tofugu’s articles remain the easier entry point.

I do not know whether this is realistic in the first place. I am also not sure how much desire there is for members of this community to share their blog posts in the form of articles (even with pseudonyms). Nonetheless, I think it could be a cool initiative from which both Tofugu and the WaniKani community could benefit.

I personally don’t think that’s a bad idea. I discovered the blog maybe a few months ago and I was hooked on it. Unfortunately… I was disappointed to see that the last one was written three years ago :c

But yeah, a community-featured blog would be cool
