This sounds so fun, I think if I keep up my rate of 2 weeks per level I should be right on time to finish in December 2027 :open_mouth:

Ah this is a great theme Weeb! Going to the kanji moon :rocket: :full_moon_face: is our way to explore beyond the boundaries of our personal earths.

In theory would be a couple of months ahead of this if I keep going at current pace, but if life happens (I have a suspicion that it might) then this will be perfect timing. Count me in.

I’m joining!

my next level up will be in a while since I’m still working through my massive review pile(peak 1750 reviews, 750apprentice).

but sometime in November should be my first level up in 270+ days

Progressing at fast pace is interesting, because on one side I am already so proud to be lvl 17/18, i never really thought i would be here lol. On another hand, even level 30 seems so far away! It’s like one more time having to put all this effort! But I hope to reach level 35/40 around april/may, it’s my goal. Probably to slow after this and focus on reading a lot / N3 jlpt studies

I’m conflicted about my speed. Sometimes I feel like I’m going at a good speed, and other times I tell myself ā€œI can maybe go fasterā€. But then I remember when I tried to go full speed with English and burned out like 3 times
That being said, I think my ā€œgotta go fastā€ tendences are showing a little. IĀ“m only like a month or 2 in my learning journey and I’m doing like 5 different things. At least I know that If I start feeling the pressure, I can drop a few of those.

Yes, to each their own speed and methods! For me, going slow burned me out, going much faster allows me to see more progress and thus less burnout.
Doing too many things at once is a bit different problem and a real issue at that, it’s how I truely burned out!
I recommend removing the redundancies and building a strong, stable, ā€œinfaillibleā€ routine first, especially before lvl 10 of WK

Exactly!

I have a love hate relationship with speed but I definitely don’t regret going slow when doing textbooks to learn grammar and build up those oft neglected reading skills. Right now im trying to mash the accelerator as much as possible speed up probably more than I should because come Jan 1st im going right back to textbooks until probably June.

I’ll join! Surely I’ll make it to 60 by then! (???)

I mean… it is TWO years from now…

I put 8-150 days for my average speed because that seems to be how it goes. I might not get all the way to 60 by then but I should get some levels covered this way.

That’s actually pretty good (to me) and looks a lot like my graph, except you actually kept a very good pace for much longer!

My tip for you is what I found out for me : when I feel burned-out, I stop everything but wanikani, and I do the least amount of lessons per day. But I will keep doing reviews no matter what.
And abusing the vacation mode really helps (for exemple even if I am away one day) not coming back to 600 reviews which can be demotivating.

Ofc maybe you dont need tips and it’s just life stuff, but I thought to share

I restarted a few days ago, I probably won’t make it but that’s a fun goal.

It’s been a tough level with a few mis-timings of SRS due to not having the hover tool, but at least I caught up on a lot of vocab lessons, and I should be able to go faaaaast next level.
Also now that I got https://community.wanikani.com/t/userscript-dashboard-progress-plus
it’s basicaly like getting all the previous features back, so I also feel more chill and more comfortable  .

Was the banner always animated ?
