Animelon down? Error 522?

Is anybody else having issues with Animelon?

When I try to use Animelon, it comes up with ‘Error 522: Connection timed out.’

Underneath that, it says ‘Browser working’, ‘Cloudflare working’, ‘Host error’.

Under ‘what happened?’, it says ‘The initial connection between Cloudflare’s network and the origin web server timed out. As a result, the web page can not be displayed.’

It then says, ‘If you’re a visitor of this website: Please try again in a few minutes.’ and:

'If you’re the owner of this website: Contact your hosting provider letting them know your web server is not completing requests. An Error 522 means that the request was able to connect to your web server, but that the request didn’t finish. The most likely cause is that something on your server is hogging resources. Additional troubleshooting information here.

Of course, I’m not the owner, so I can’t do anything about that. Are other people having this problem? Is it just me? Do you know if there’s anything I can do about it?

Using Animelon with Japanese subtitles has been a big part of my study process, so if you can help please do! It would be really appreciated!

Edit: Forgot to mention, it’s been like this for about 2 days I think, so I have followed the visitors’ advice haha. Gonna keep checking, of course, but I just want to know if anybody else has experienced this before and possibly knows what’s wrong

Forgot to mention in the post: it’s been doing this for about two days now haha. So I have waited and tried again later. I’m gonna keep checking obviously, but I just wanted to know whether other people had experienced this before and there was any quicker way of sorting it

According to the discord their database was hacked and deleted. Their most recent backup was January 9th so any accounts made or changed after this are lost. While user data and passwords were stored in an encrypted form and likely aren’t leaked. It would still be a good idea to change your password and if you have accounts elsewhere that share that password change them too. Should be back up sometime today.

Oh wow. Thank you for telling me that! Luckily, I hadn’t yet made an account anyway, because it didn’t seem necessary to use the site. That is very bad, and I hope nobody gets affected too much by it.
