Today’s listening down. I’ve reached the point where シュンと日本語 is something that I can tackle listening to while on my lunch time walk, rather than when I started where I had to pause and rewind a lot in a way that’s distracting to the walk, which has helped a lot in making the time to do so.

So today’s listening progress was from episode 41 to 45:

I’ve also started keeping a log under a spoiler dropdown in my home post.

:sound: Nihongo con Teppei for beginners, episodes 7 to 9.

It’s quite easy so far. I try to answer his questions out loud for talk practice too.

At first, I thought it was a way to say his voice is very soothing, but this podcast is really a thing ? :open_mouth:
What is it about ? Is it for beginners, intermediate or advanced levels ?

Today I have done:

Third eps from Nihongo con Teppei for beginners. Was a bit short.
JapanesePod101: Show Your Appreciation in Japanese.

Glad to have that last one as it makes it understandable. (should say more so on my current level)

Time to take nap

I too was quite intrigued when I first saw the podcast in my recommendations - thought of checking it out as I’d liked his beginners podcast :grinning:

The target audience of this podcast are probably Japanese learners who would like to listen to something right before going to sleep. The topic of each episode so far has also been related to sleep. Teppei sensei’s voice is indeed soothing here, and there’s also the subtle humour that I enjoyed in his other podcasts.

As for the difficulty level, I feel this would be somewhere around the upper beginner - lower intermediate level. The speech is slow and clear, the episodes are short, and he uses a lot of similar speech patterns, so if you’re enjoying his beginners podcast you can try giving it a shot

I accidentally met my weekly goal for listening to polite speech yesterday so I just wanted something casual today, which is how I ended up on a nikujaga cooking video. I also watched a short news follow-up on the JAL/Coast Guard crash, just to see if anything new had been reported. Today was the first day of classes and I was pretty overwhelmed, so I’m pausing on 日本語の森 for today. See you tomorrow!

I saw it on Amazon US but I plead the American’s 5th amendment right to silence as it may incriminate me (sorry).

I did more than what I originally planned today. I listened to the reading of 2 NHK easy articles (the one about writing seals and about the earthquake). It was nice to read along while listening.

I also did a TPR lesson from Comprehensible Japanese about actions with paper. I might include more TPR lessons, it’s fun to do the activities as well :star_struck:

Edit: Scrolled up and saw the link from Comprehensible Japanese on coffee that @hotdogsuplex mentioned and listened to it as well. Thanks!

Today I didn’t have a walk because I had a bit of a cold (I got rained on in yesterday’s walk, which may have had something to do with it). So had to actually set some time to listen. Still got 4 episodes down

I listened to a Comprehensive Japanese video today where she drew faces (I don’t know how to embed the link here like everybody else does  )

It’s the paperclip:

I copied and pasted the address and the whole youtube video showed up. I meant how you and other people say "I watched this video and when you click on the word this, it takes you to the video. Does that make sense?

When you click the paperclip you get this screen:

Copy and paste the video url into the top box. In the second box, type the word you want to attach the link to, e.g. “this” “this video” or “here”
