Happy reading!

The accents are really popping off this week!

It’s interesting to hear that some つがい can influence their masters and some are basically just mindless monsters. I didn’t really think about that.

At the beginning of the reading I kind of thought this was too easy for BBC but it’s challenging!

It amuses me that Yuru hasn’t been taught any words of foreign origin, like レベル or ジャンル. Their need to talk around that kinda makes me think of this video:

Reckon this service area is a real place, but without a ballpark for its location, I couldn’t really hope to pin it down.

The end of this week’s reading takes us to roughly the four-minute mark of the anime’s third episode.

thank you! I looked and couldn’t find anything, so I assumed they made this god up or something.

Somehow I have been thinking the new week would start today :joy: Going to put some work!

So many words this week:face_with_spiral_eyes:

Looking forward to rereading in a year’s time to pick up the details I missed this time around!

Had to start with a slight delay due to lack of time. I am halfway this week (right after オシラサマ), man SO many new words. I had to stop so may times that I have to assimilate them and read it again :joy:

Had a really hard time with this sentence.

「もしまだ結界内だとしてもまたこじ開ければいいし」

I had to look up on the net a few things to put everything together :smiling_face_with_tear: I will break it down hoping it is helpful to somebody else, but I still have two questions:

もし > hypothetical “if”
まだ> not yet
としても > assuming if (this was the key, otherwise I was really lost)

“assuming we are still inside the barrier”

  1. Is もし used along with としても to reinforce the hypothetical sentence?

こじ開ける> to force open
ーればいい > “You just need to do A” (New construction for me)

“we only need to break it again”

  1. Why is 「し」 used at the end? Is she supposed to say something else?

Week 7 and we are rounding of the chapter! 黄泉のツガイ・Yomi no Tsugai Book Club Week 7!
