Um, about that clock…
All good…just night shifts! I overestimated what I could do before they started.
Gahhh my book hasn’t been delivered yet! Worried it’s going to take forever due to the coronavirus
It´s been 84 years…
Finally! In the meantime i have finished some random children´s (一年生) book but it had almost no kanji, so it was torture to say the least and i´m glad i can read Kiki now.
We are go! Finally
Week 1
As we’ve already discussed here, please don’t hesitate to ask new questions. If you can easily find the answer you’re looking for in the old discussion, great, but there’s no need to go through it with a fine-toothed comb.
Hello! We’re currently running a “repeat club” of Kiki’s Delivery Service, using the original club’s discussion threads. I posted in the first thread to indicate the start of our discussion, and added the link and our new vocab sheet to that OP.
The threads are all wikis up to chapter 7. Would you mind making the OPs of the following threads into wikis too? MissMisc isn’t really around anymore for us to ask.
Thank you!
Sure, they’re all Wikis now!
Enjoy
はやい!
Thank you so much
Erm… not that I’m complaining or such… but maybe Chapter 10 is still waiting for its conversion?
Thank you
Including a random post of mine apparently, based on my notifications.
Oooh, I think you were the first post in chapter 10, and that got wiki’d instead of the chapter 10 OP
@RachelG, sorry, could you fix this?
exercises restraint and doesn’t edit Sean’s post
Unlike how I randomly did to one of your wiki posts
Thanks. Also, I forgot I could remove the wiki myself, so it’s gone now.
My b! It’s fixed now
Haha thanks for being a good sport
Your willpower is impressive
Great, thank you again
@ everyone else reading along - I’ve added our vocab sheet’s weekly link to the OP of the discussion thread, but would it be helpful to have it in the start post as well?
Yes that would be helpful!
@Kyasurin I just wanted to say thank you for the chapter summaries in the original threads – I just finished the second chapter on the head start schedule, and it was quite a struggle for me! More so than the first chapter. Being able to confirm my plot understanding once I’d finally finished helped a lot thanks!
The vocab sheets (old and new) were also of great help – my kindle didn’t always split/group words properly, so the dictionary lookups weren’t always relevant.
I had to stop and restart multiple times to make sense of some complicated sentences, and the intentional secrecy made it hard to understand other parts. I’ll probably re-read the whole chapter again if I have time this week, and maybe prepare some questions for when chapter 2 officially starts! Really glad we have the head start schedule for people like me, I definitely need it Hopefully I won’t get too far behind once the schedules align!
Even with the headstart, I’m still on chapter one, and keep telling myself “once we get past the intro, chapter two will be easier!”
Certainly chapter three will be easier! …right?
