And so begins the Battle of Sapata. Perhaps the comparatively dialogue-light action scenes will give the people who voted “I’m planning to catch up later” the time to catch up. :stuck_out_tongue:

I haven’t read last weeks portion yet, but tomorrow I have some time for reading manga. So I’ll see how far I can go in that session.

Finished the volume! This one is my favorite so far.

Now I hold great admiration for this woman, also this chibi.

kushana

I shed tears over an imaginary bird.

kai

When it comes to this guy, I'm at a loss for words.

Okay I had some breaks between reading, but I did end up finishing it today.

This volume didn’t really have any stopping points, which is kinda crazy given the run. It’s also where the manga really shows Nausicaa’s true colors. Everybody gets captivated by her and wants to do their best for her. Rest in peace big birb.

Nice example of sarcastic use of desu/masu form, incidentally.

Ah, there were a couple of good ones, but unfortunately none of them fell conveniently close to an even one-third split.

As per the poll in the home thread, we’ll be taking a one-week break before we start volume four. Now’s your chance to get caught up. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thoughts about this week’s part

A bit too much war for me this week, but those last few scenes with Kai sure were an emotional rollercoaster. Those were excellent. I thought ending on that single image of the release of the prisoners was also strong.

And on we go. New volume, new story arc.
