I always think of Yupa as an old dude because of that massive beard, and then his athleticism surprises me every time

…and speaking of beards, you’d think everybody in this world would prefer to be clean-shaven, because of the difficulties of getting your facemask to seal properly if you have a big bushy beard or moustache… </fridge-logic>

He is not a young man anymore but he is not that old either. I found this wiki page 風の谷のナウシカの年表 the other day. If you are curious about the ages of the characters, you can skim through it but there might be some spoilers.

Huh, according to that he’s only 5 years younger than Jhil, and 5 years older than Mito…

Well Yupa honed his skills as a swordsman, so he’s a little extra. In the first volume he jumped right into the attacks and blocked nausicaä, so she could get back to her senses.

End of volume 2

Good read, wasn’t that difficult although it did had some parts that took some more effort, like the telepathic warfare between the two factions. RIP weird little priest.

Finished the second volume today. I must admit that this story has deeply moved me, and there were a few scenes that brought tears to my eyes while reading. I will continue reading with the club. I hope the story ends with a happy ending.

I also finished the volume. Not much to say, the story is moving along and I’m still enjoying it :slightly_smiling_face: It doesn’t really feel like the end of a book club because it feels like the story is only just getting started

On with the show!
