So, page 130 (uh, I think), for anyone who doesn’t spot the reference: The name ホーエンハイム comes from Theophrastus von Hohenheim, better known as Paracelsus, who lived in the sixteenth century, and was a prolific alchemist.
Didn’t need them kinda feels…

Arg I thought we were on the last chapter last week so I lagged behind because I thought I would have more time to finish it. In almost done with it though. I like the sensei and her husband.
I voted one week break in the main thread but I’m completely fine with longer.

I enjoyed the sensei and her husband, fun characters. And it looks like we’re finally going to get the backstory I’ve been wanting since the start!
Ed and Al are really dumb sometimes, but I suppose it makes sense given their age. They really thought the sensei wouldn’t figure out that something was up with Al being in a GIGANTIC METAL ARMOUR all the time?

Sorry for not explaining it, I dislike it when people do that (highlight a reference without telling you what they’re referencing). Makes you feel like they’re trying to exclude you from some in-group.
In my defense I’m part of that generation of kids who were traumatized by this movie at some point while growing up, so I immediately made the connection and didn’t consider that not everybody would do the same!

Ahhh, 気にしないでください! I don’t watch much even in my own language and have the memory of a goldfish, so I’m totally used to this. It’s just my first thouths were about Spider-man, but he was bitten… and then I got wondering how 錬成 would look like in real life in Arakawa’s eyes.
So thanks about pointing it out in the first place!
