Welp, Ed’s dead. From now on, this series will be called 鎧の錬金術師.

For this we have a back-up, since 鎧 is 鋼の.
マスタングもう死にそうのところです. It could be just Bad end.

I didn’t remember True Form Envy was this creepy, wow. Also, the way they figured out it was actually each other was hilarious

Ch. 52 question

I can assume that おで means Me in these cases, but why? Haven’t found anything about this

Also, 賢者の石 was so close!

Could be おれ with a speech impediment?

I haven’t noticed that he has any speech impediment (his talking just not very mature)
I’m behind on anime, gonna check their translation later.

According to pixiv, there’s a character in Chiikawa who uses おで as a first-person pronoun, but that’s all I’m really getting on the subject from Google.

This character looks round… AND has a big mouth :eyes:

This chapter really illustrates one of the reasons why this series is so great:

Summary

It sets up a mystery, gives you all the clues you need to solve it, and then finally pieces it together for you.

  1. Soylent Green The Philisopher’s Stone is people.
  2. The homunculi are powered by philosopher’s stones.
  3. Sensitive individuals like Lan Fan can detect countless souls inside the homunculi
  4. According to legend, the nation of Xerxes was destroyed in a single night
  5. The ruins of Xerxes contain a human transmutation circle

Conclusion: The people of Xerxes were turned into philosopher’s stones that now reside in the homunculi

While still leaving us with a bunch of mysteries to solve, like who did it, and why, and what’s Hohenheim doing in the villain’s lair?

Though I did feel like Bradley suddenly explaining his backstory to Mustang in the middle of the chapter felt somewhat out-of-place…

Thoughts

Well, for now we can assume that it was Hohenheim, according to “おとーさま” from homunculi, so he fits right in this lair.
But Gluttony swallowed some of the Xerxes’ ruins (and not all of them). Why? They fought with someone? Or was it an accident?

Maybe 大総統 has a reason for this talk?

Really wanna see how the confrontation with the father will go :eyes:

The biggest question, though, is did Ed leave Al’s hand behind?

Why hand? I think I forgot something

Ahaha, I really hope Ed wasn’t running all over that place carrying Lin AND metal gauntlet as the latter is easily replaceable, but we’ll see!
