Well, I didn’t guess the details, but I could solve the (first?) mystery by myself! #proud :muscle: #iknowitwaseasy

Done! This chunk felt much easier than the others, probably just because I’ve found my feet. Still looking up words constantly but that’s not a bad thing.

And in the last sentence of chapter 2 we have ぼんやり感じ for the first time since 時をかける少女

Just finished this. I don’t know if it’s because I read it quite quickly or because of the way it is written but I’m finding it to be the most difficult thing I’m reading right now (I might change my mind on this when I go back to 獣の奏者). I think I still got most things but sometimes it took me a while to even figure out who was talking (and about whom)(Is this correct English?).

Anyway I liked that we had a mystery and explanation so soon even if it wasn’t too deep. I wonder if we will keep having mini-mysteries or if there will be a big one (clearly I haven’t seen the anime or know anything and I’m okay staying that way for now).

Now brb uploading the next week before it’s too late.

Easy who vs whom test: if the pronoun used to answer the question would be “hiM” (or her) rather than “he” or “she”, you use “whoM”. So yes, it’s whom here - “about whom were you talking?” - you would say “I was talking about him” rather than “I was talking about he”. In contrast you’d answer “who was talking” with “he was talking”.

I’m here to learn Japanese but hey, can’t hurt to improve my English as well :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
