Ahh, her choice to still call it an illness, plus the way that speech bubble in particular is darker…
MAN THIS WHOLE PART, actually… The way she’s still focusing on her illness bothering other people (not focusing on how it also impedes her own life)… Not to be a Cultus defender or anything (I am) but he’s so right about that LOL
AHHHH I’m so happy to be continuing with this story! It’ll be my first time completing a series in Japanese (if I make it through).
Episode 7
This episode was ADORABLE! Capri-san was so cute! I’m happy that Mira is interacting with more people and I hope to see more of that in this volume. I’m a little confused as to how he is able to turn into a stuffed goat(?). Does everyone in this universe have some kind of magic? Does everyone have different types of magic or can anyone just transform into animals? I want to learn more!
Also on a separate note, the grass mole was so cute and the last panel of page 25 was hilarious.
Oh… I was just thinking about how the way that he’s using magic in his sleep was sort of mirroring Mira’s situation. Interesting…
Ahh, this was a cute, short chapter. I liked getting a little more insight into Rei’s background and how his magic worked. And proud of Mira for pushing through even though she was scared
I agree with @migraine that it was nice to see more of Rei’s history (it was also so cute to see child Rei).
I just cant get over how amazing all this art is and how it really helps me while reading. I also love how all the chapters are giving us a little more each time about Mira and Rei’s backgrounds and relationships. I can’t wait to see more cute moments. Also, I commented on the cute mole last chapter, so it was a nice surprise for it to return in this one!
AHHHH this chapter is so cute! Every time I pick up my kindle to read this book it makes me feel so happy and warm. The art style, the cute stories, and the characters all make this a wonderful series so far.
Starting off with Rei turning his hair black was a treat. He looks so good with black hair too! Then their expression on the last two pages when Mira’s tea turns Rei’s hair back to normal was hilarious.
I was quite confused when they were talking about making the potions, specifically on pages 87 and 91 because there was a ton of kanji, but I just kind of decided I didn’t need to know the specifics. So, I just skipped a bunch on those pages because I assumed it was just details about them brewing the potions.
Life stuff has been reducing my bandwidth for Japanese lately, making me not want to read anything that would require lookups (which is everything), so last night I finally figured out how to use Mokuro and flew through these last few chapters to catch up. After months of reading manga by painstakingly looking up all the words I didn’t know, Mokuro feels like cheating way faster - don’t know how I ever lived without it…
I cracked up at this. Of course Mira wants to eat the leftover ingredients for the medicine. The star jam awakened a foraging spirit within her - can’t put that genie back in the bottle now…
Chapter 10
Loved this chapter. We got another positive, affirming adult role model for Mira…more Gender feels…and some gossip about Rei! I wonder when we’ll meet his special person…
This chapter was a little on the harder side for me to read. I think Stella has a but of a funny way of speaking, maybe an accent? She also talks A LOT so the kanji was small and hard to see in my version on my kindle.
On the other hand, the story was very sweet. It was nice to see someone close to Rei give a bit of insight into how he was when he was younger. I also almost cried when Stella said that Mira’s color was made up of all the other colors. So sweet! I hope that Mira continues to learn that her power/ability (or whatever it is) is not a bad thing.
