Finally a background chapter! Little Mira and young Rei were so cute this chapter. This whole chapter made my heart hurt though. I feel so bad for Mira and her parents. I can see some themes from this chapter that apply to the real world too. Its good to know that in the current story (not the flashbacks like this chapter though) that Mira is growing happier and less traumatized.
Does anyone know the word that Mira’s parents use to call Rei? I couldn’t figure out the kanji.
If I’m interpreting correctly what he’s saying here, it’s pretty bleak. I definitely want to know more about the darkness within Rei and his own trauma.
These earrings feel like an echo too. This person definitely had a huge impact on his students, I really want to find out more about him… Fingers crossed for a meaty Rei flashback in volume 3
I missed reading this… I can’t get over how beautiful all these panels are… Also this feels like this would be an infuriatingly vague instruction to receive but also, I get it LOL
MIRA’S TEA WORKING TO FIX REI’S HAIR… Honestly I was really liking the dark hair colour on him LOL But there’s also really something about Mira, with how she ends up creating darkness with her illness, somehow stumbling on this recipe because she was so delighted by the sparkling when Rei was working on the root…
One chapter down!! Will continue working on catching up. I didn’t realize that I’d been busy for so long
Wow this was an emotional end to this volume. If got it Rei was like “well if you want to die go ahead but what if instead we work together to figure out what you like”. Kinda dark Rei…..
Also the picture of young Rei on page 183 is so sad. I don’t know how much more angst I can handle in this series and now his background is probably really sad too. I’m excited to keep reading and I feel very accomplished for finishing this second volume.
Ahh, decided to try stitching these two pages together to see the complete picture in this spread. I really love… how Mira became comfortable enough to also let Stella carry her on her shoulders
