Finally a background chapter! Little Mira and young Rei were so cute this chapter. This whole chapter made my heart hurt though. I feel so bad for Mira and her parents. I can see some themes from this chapter that apply to the real world too. Its good to know that in the current story (not the flashbacks like this chapter though) that Mira is growing happier and less traumatized.
Does anyone know the word that Mira’s parents use to call Rei? I couldn’t figure out the kanji.
Which panel or page are you looking at? I see both 君 and 先生 at the beginning of the chapter.
Ahhhhh i meant the other way around, that Rei calls her father on page 144 and 151
You must be looking at 先輩, or せんぱい! So Mira’s dad is calling Rei 先生 since he’s a doctor, and Rei is calling him せんぱい since he’s older.
That’s it! The kanji was too small for me to see on my kindle so i couldn’t look it up….. thank you!

Wow this was an emotional end to this volume. If got it Rei was like “well if you want to die go ahead but what if instead we work together to figure out what you like”. Kinda dark Rei…..
Also the picture of young Rei on page 183 is so sad. I don’t know how much more angst I can handle in this series and now his background is probably really sad too. I’m excited to keep reading and I feel very accomplished for finishing this second volume.
