こんにちは、お久しぶりですね。In WK, the verb 兼ねる is generally thought to mean “to combine”, “to double as”, or anything of the like, but the verb has a second common meaning as an auxiliary verb that WK doesn’t teach: “to be unable to do”. We should have this second meaning as an alternate. 皆さん、どう思いますか。意見よろしく!

I also noticed this and wondered why WK didn’t allow for it! Thanks for bringing it up honestly, I just put it in as a secondary meaning.
