The publisher the team go to is 集英社, or Shuueisha, which owns Jump Comics (which Look Back - and Fujimoto’s other works, Chainsawman and Fire Punch - is published in).
The magazine competition they win is Jump as well. You don’t need to read the whole page, but we can help if you want to tackle it.
One of the backgrounds Kyomoto is inspired by on p66 (the one on the left specifically) is from vol 5 of Fire Punch. I believe the lower one of the street with the signs is also from Chainsawman - chapter 54 specifically (vol 5) I think)
Some words I liked:
事自体 - itself, the thing itself
最低 - at the least
コンビ - duo, combo
でねでね - and, and!
じゃんじゃん - one after another
ぐるぐる - round and round
But especially, on page 60, Crepe Forest クレープの森 lol
I really feel like the book is finally taking off this week. Then entering and winning the competition, getting serialized etc. is awesome. The last scene for this reading was just so intense too. Fujino getting so angry and defensive is hard to watch, rooting for kyomoto!
Watched it a while ago but as far as my memory can tell it’s literally almost a word for word/shot for shot recreation. As I’m reading I’ve been shocked by how accurate the movie is
