Ouch, boys took a beating! Very kind of the androids to leave them alive and ready to be resuscitated with a senzu bean, especially after what Vegeta did to android 19…
Just noticed that the chapter numbers in the schedule in the OP are wrong - I think they are the chapter numbers from last volume schedule.
Chapter 108
Krillen got kissed by an (android) girl and he liked it! Cute moment.
Lots of talking this week. And lots of hurt pride.
I love the aside that being extra offended at being beaten up by a girl might be not politically correct. And Piccolo’s rebuttal
Yamcha’s recognition that Goku’s deadly heart virus might be contagious and he might want to take some of the medicine himself was an interesting observation!
Kamisama doesn’t look very excited about the fusion!
I have to admit I’m quite lost with the whole Namekseijin/God plot. Am I right recalling this God guys was killed and Dende from the Frieza arc took over?
I think what happened is: Piccolo died in the Namek saga - which meant Kami died as well. But then Piccolo was brought back to life by a wish using the Namekian dragon balls, which brought Kami back to life as well. Dende is going to take over as Kami on earth, but this doesn’t happen until further in the future.
I looked up the concept that Piccolo refers to at the bottom of the first page. It’s a business concept to do with communication between workers and their superiors - in English called Ho-Ren-Sō - Wikipedia.
I’ve obviously forgotten a lot of this story arc - I really wasn’t expecting Cell to appear at this point, I thought there was lots more fighting with the androids to come first! (Or perhaps there will be…)
I continue to find it interesting how the Japanese have a different concept of green to what I have. To me two of these guys in the bottom left are clearly blue!
I have definitely seen that concept in anime like Doraemon or Shin-chan in the past I’m pretty sure! On the topic of blue/green in Japanese, I liked this simple video a while ago:
