Hmm, not Yamcha’s finest hour. He made a real mess of that and came to a nasty end. These guys are strong but tactically that was a complete mess.
Page 34 - かゆいところに手が届く - perhaps one of the longest phrases I’ve seen in the dictionary - to be extremely thorough, focusing on even the finest of details
The bit on page 25 where Gohan’s like “I sense two big ki’s, that must be Yamcha” had me chuckling. Never thought I’d see ‘Yamcha’ and ‘large ki’ in the same sentence
I liked the kind of big reunion vibe with all of our old favourites getting some screen time or at least a mention… and o snap I typed that before I was done reading and now I wish Yajirobe hadn’t showed up! Happy he survived (though no idea how he managed that!)
Wow the instructions on resuscitating Yamcha were so funny! If he can’t swallow the bean then just shove your hand in the hole and put it straight in his stomach! TBH - I really don’t think his mouth is connected to his stomach any more after that blow…
I had assumed Yamcha was dead after this very fatal looking injury. I was surprised he not only survived but looked very well again by the end of the chapter!
I have to admit I completely forgot this part of the story. Barely remebered these androids
That said I have enjoyed reading while listening to this:
I don’t think I quite got the full meaning of it either. I took it along the lines of “Why do people keep being impressed by my dad’s strength”. But I don’t get why is super sayan Gohan saying it.
It went over my head this one. I wasn’t even 100% sure who it was. I thought Trunks at first but from the hair style I was guessing Gohan super saiyan.
Having not really watched the anime apart from one or two of the movies I feel like I’d like to watch the anime episode of this battle and see how scary the android is!
I enjoy the moments when someone is up in the air and their combatant surprises them by appearing in front of them suddenly. Usually followed by sending them crashing to the ground hard enough to leave a crater.
For an Android he not only showed a lot of fear in the end, but ran away in a very uncool way at the end of the battle…
Happy he survived (though no idea how he managed that!)
