This volume was my favorite, I read from chapter 45 to the end without stopping! :heart_eyes:
I’m eager to read volume 4, but I think I will be able to wait for you guys!

I had too much work to create the new thread on time (just finished).
But… is there a need for a new thread? Only @anna_harumaki is posting now :-/

Maybe we could convert this thread to Ch48-56 and only have a thread per book afterward?
Even though I hope to have more time soon to really read along (I still have to read ch49&50…), I’m not sure I’ll do the sentence analysis again so even a book thread might be quite empty.

What do you think would be best?

  • Create the new thread now!!!
  • One thread per book
  • All discussions in the home thread from now on

Yeah, I think a thread per book might be enough going forward =)
Hopefully more people (myself included!) will have more time after Christmas =P

I finally(!!!) read the second half of this volume:

  • ジュリ is crazy! (ch44-45)
  • quite nice of the black cat to help Chi instead of simply running for it (ch46-47)
  • yes, he is a good 先輩 (ch48)
  • now that she learned to use her claws, Chi has to learn to not use them :stuck_out_tongue: (ch49)
  • poor caged Chi :frowning: (ch50)
  • nice ヨウヘイ :slight_smile: (ch51)
  • it’s so credible that they would play without going (not) :stuck_out_tongue: Also, the black cat did not properly sayed goodbye…(ch52)
  • さよなら 黒猫！(ch53)
  • once again, Chi easily forget what she is thinking about x) Also, she doesn’t seem to understand that the ducks are not real animals… or maybe her sadness made her become crazy :crazy_face: (ch54)
  • I never seen anyone so happy to be woke up by a cat slapping their face :stuck_out_tongue: But I would be the same in his place after this nightmare. Run for it ヨウヘイ君! (ch55)
  • after creating the problem, Chi solved it (kind of) :stuck_out_tongue: (ch56)

よーし！ Now I can read volume 4 at the same time as everyone =) (I did not forget that I still have to do ch43 on the other thread, I’ll work a bit then go back to it)

I read it as a throw back to the recent chapter when Chi was scared “Smile, and don’t look down”. The Black cat took on a smile, as a “just smile, don’t show you are scared”, in a way of saying “we are scared of this change happening, lets smile and face it head on”.
Yeah, I read all that out of one smile! :rofl:
