Random ramblings about ch. 78

Looks like コアトルis from Dungeons & Dragons (feathered serpent).
And when I saw coatl, naturally I went to check what Quetzalcoatl means. Aztec god of wisdom’s name is a combination of quetzal (a type of strikingly colored birds) + serpent.
Why coatl is a feathered serpent if it’s just a serpent? :thinking:

I wish this manga was in color to be able to fully enjoy the spectacle of Marcille’s gaudy 花柄の魔物.

I like how the winged lion’s true motives remain ambiguous and potentially nefarious. I wonder where this is going.

No, the first season only covered until the middle of volume eight. A second season has been announced, though, which would easily cover the rest if it continues at the same pace (and has the same number of episodes).
