Laios is figuring it out 
I love how Laios’ monster knowledge means that he can really figure out anything related to a monster. He’s the ultimate one-trick pony with one strength (monster knowledge), but I do think this manga is the ultimate ‘one idea taken to its logical conclusion’ manga, and it shows in that too. Laios doesn’t just love monsters in a silly way as a gag, it’s taken to the serious conclusion where he’s able to consider how one might defeat a monster no one has thought that it’s possible to defeat, and all the other traditionally smart characters like the elves would just rather give up.

Actually I don’t have much to say about this chapter except for: that doesn’t look good. At all.

A bit confused to what the party could see though, looks like Laois wasn’t moving from their point of view, while he had the discussion with the lion?
We see him eat some pieces of the lion and some weird bird coming out of him, but it looks like they seem him not moving and then cutting the lion’s head?
Also kuddos to Izutsumi for not hesitating even one second to carrying the job I guess
