… I went over to imiwa? because I thought my understanding couldn‘t possibly be right as it made no sense whatsoever to me… only to find ou that hey! It really doesn‘t make any sense! 
Overall I‘m very happy/glad I stuck to this book club and everytime I actually manage to get myself reading I‘m rewarded with cuteness overload … or simply a very interesting, fulfilling read ^^
Btw though… can anyone make sense of this こびりつき…?! I can‘t seem to get it and dictionary isn‘t very helpful

I think it’s a made up word but probably comes from こびりつく

I accidentally missed the transition from chapter 18 to 19 and ended up reading too far!
It doesn’t have the usually obvious chapter end and start that most chapters do.

Chapter 17 story comment
I’ve noticed this in earlier chapters too, but the way Kate’s soot actually wells up at the top of the page like on the last page of this chapter is a nice touch.

Chapter 18 story comments
Holy cow! It’s nice when you rewatch something, or enjoy a different version in this case (reading the manga after having watched the anime), after a long time. The plot twists hit again! I totally forgot about this hooded figure during their late night search. I’m excited to see what else I may have forgotten.

I didn’t realize there was a second anime season. Do you know whether it’s true to the manga? I heard they kind of made stuff up because they ran out of source material in season 1. Or was that season 2?

They definitely did not run out of source material, but I heard they changed some stuff towards the end of the first season, not to mention skipped some important plot points (so had to make adjustments in season two accordingly). In fact, I was excited to watch the anime after enjoying the manga (for once the voice acting seemed to match my expectations), but when I heard how they changed things I decided not to watch it. Didn’t want to get the continuity confused in my head by experiencing two versions of an ongoing series.

Honestly I’m not sure. I feel like I remember hearing about what @seanblue mentioned after watching the first season, but I watched the whole second season without remembering about that. But now I’m excited to see what differences, if any, I notice. I wonder if I should rewatch the first season to be able to keep things straight in my head

Haven’t been very active lately, following 3 book clubs and other stuff so things are a little hectic lol, but luckily I’m up to date on almost everything. Enjoying the book so far, certainly some more dynamic events this volume. For this week I want to double down on the unclear parts whether it’s vocabulary or grammar, so expect some questions from me. よろしくお願いします！XD

I did a marathon read this weekend to catch up with all the book clubs I’ve been behind on thanks to life having become a bit busy, including this one… It is so hard not to just binge the rest of the volume! The shift in tone from gentle hints to something strange being afoot to, well, everything is completely captivating!

Unfortunately I’ve also fallen behind a bit. I’ve just finished chapter 19, and I just have a couple of questions:
Chapter 19
- (Page 73) 「寝たかったら、寝ろ」, this seems to mean “If you want to sleep, then sleep”, but what part of it indicates “if you want to”? I know that “ら” is a conditional, but perhaps I’ve misunderstood?
- (Page 83) When Rama’s index finger is “speaking to her”, it says 「ラマ暗いのは怖いわ」. What does this mean?
