カモメの俳句 - In Pursuance of Haiku: Writing and Appreciation

@Hotaru_o7 I just realised it now but, your profile picture is from the One Hundred Aspects of the Moon by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi, do you like this series too ?

I thought that I would share some of the haiku I have translated recently, with the coming of spring…

子規

花咲いて思ひ出すひとみなとお

sakura bloom
all the people in my thoughts
are far, far away

幽印

花に酒や左の手にて六七はい

flowers and sake –
with my left hand I drink six
or no, seven cups !

石原八束

花に寝て散りくる花の雪崩なだれとも

sleeping among
sakura, falling on me
like a snowslide

(many more on my poetry thread if you are interested :dizzy:)
