I’d say. “Because you said ‘fishing pond’, I imagined a place that smelled like old men.”
Or, “a stinky place”, “unfashionable place”, “run-down place”.
Mostly focusing on the characteristics of the place being “not cool”.
Instead, it’s a beautiful place.
Your sentence still brings out the same idea, though. It even sounds more natural. ![]()
Just wanted to make sure you got the connotation. ![]()
