I’m interested in joining for Volume 9! I’m not caught up – I’m partway through Volume 1 right now – but I think Yotsuba is episodic enough that skipping ahead will work fine.

I too am gonna join for Volume 9 in a bit. I just started Volume 6 so unless I considerably speed up I’m not gonna be there for another 20 days or so (doing a chapter per day when I can)
Btw I just noticed that the vocabulary sheets after ch34 are all empty, if I have time time I might fill some up, is that OK?

Great! Let’s see what other users think and see when we can start with volume 9. 
Yotsuba is episodic enough, but sometimes jokes or certain conversations depend on previous interactions, so you might lose a bit. /:
Yes, after some point we stopped doing vocab sheets, but please feel free to continue them if you want to.

I recently read through volume 1 in Japanese, so I now know I’m ready for it. Having read through the whole series in English a while back, jumping into volume 9 while also reading from volume 2 on up won’t be a problem =D

@Leosky 20 days is 3 weeks, so we’d probably be on chapter 3/4 of volume 9 by the time you catch up. (If we started now) Do you mind? Or would you prefer we wait for you a bit?

I do plan to continue! I’m moving at the end of this week, and I still haven’t finished volume 8 (
), but feel free to start the club back up whenever you guys are ready! Once this last bit of life craziness is over, I should be able to catch up within a week or two, I think. I’m glad to see there are more people joining in

I am so happy that people are talking about starting vol.9! But, even if everyone posted in the thread, it’s still only a handful of people and I think it might be worth waiting till we have a few more. Plus, summer is coming. I’ll be away for a while in August and September and I’m sure other people will be too. But, at the same time, it would be awful to lose this momentum. How about we set a start date, but make it far enough off that (a) everyone can catch up and (b) we can spread word on the forums. October 1st?
You might be asking for the impossible here. 
Even then, we have enough time to finish the next volume before you’re away.
October 1st is way too far, (4 months? 
). So instead, right away!
That way we give people something to catch up to.

I’ll try to catch up quickly. Now that I think about it this week I was super busy studying JP but from tomorrow my schedule will be more lax, so I might do 2 chapters a day. that way I’ll join you for ch2.
In the meantime I’ll try and edit some of the vocab sheets as I go along

I just started catching up on Volume 8 again, so if it starts up I’ll get the motivation to push through!
I can finish in a day or two (if I can find a day I’m not busy, lol!) so I’ll catch up soon enough! I want to continue! =D
I parallel read with the English, so can do a chapter or two a day with ease =)
