We’re running out of volumes, and Bocchi’s still only got half the class. Hoping we’re not gonna end with an “and all the rest are friends too” thing (rather like Komi did when she advanced her list of friends from forty to seventy in one slab).
New character this week! オデコラキター! Is this a permanent hairstyle change?
I don’t think so, the fact that the ones left have names makes me think that the author has plans for them. It could also be that it got cancelled or something I guess
Heh, Kai has six syrups. And her coffee is noticeably paler.
Two new characters in 68: 叩くドラム and 弾くベース. They in a band? We gonna see them playing in Starry? Is there an 宇多雨波おかる?
They don’t really count, though. They’re not classmates.
I’m amused by this square of secrets by the end - everyone except Bocchi knows that Kai and Aru met, and everyone except Kai knows that Bocchi and Kai’s friends met.
Chapter 69 has another two new characters. First one I’m not entirely sure of, but kinda thinking it’s just そうだ、元気, though that’s not very subtle. Second one is いけない子 (and boy is it hard to express what I mean when the words don’t use kanji).
Ya posted the right chapter numbers this time, but the wrong images.
I’ll skip over pages 77-78 (they’re moving too fast to pinpoint), and start on 79, with Sannenzaka. Page 80 features Ginkaku-ji and Kinkaku-ji. And then they’re at their hotel.
I kinda want to hear Sotoka’s English ghost story.
Page 86, I’m pretty sure that’s Banza, located at Izumo Daijingu in Kameoka city… which is outside of Kyoto. It’s served by a bus from Kameoka Station, so it’s at least reachable, but surely there’s a limit on how far groups are allowed to travel during the free time space. (Also kinda suggests that Teruyo “coincindentally” showing up is perhaps not entirely coincidental.)
Heh, Nako, who doesn’t like to move, getting left behind.
They’re still at Izumo Daijingu for chapter 72. The rabbit statue on pages 90-92 is here. Googling suggests the dango shop in between is also located on or near the shrine, but I’m having trouble pegging it down exactly.
Page 93, the rules of 大富豪. (Summary: it’s pretty similar to Big Two.)
Spent the whole of the first chapter trying to work out why Kako had somehow received a complete personalty transplant. Did not consider for a single moment that someone might have put her up to it.
Page 118, I had to go back and check the first volume to see whether Bocchi’s umbrella had always had “boo boo pig hip” written on it. And it did. So… what does that mean? And page 120, is that the ganbaru fariy on Kako’s phone case? “Having Nako live at Sotoka’s place” makes perfect sense to me - currently she’s in an entire apartment building that’s empty except for herself and the housekeeper, so surely there’s some empty rooms.
