I don’t think there’s enough interest in that based on comments over the last few weeks. I mean, I bought volume 2 just in case, but I’ll just read it on my own later if I get in the mood.
But how will you survive if you move to Kansai region?

I’m relieved but also a little bit sad that there’s no interest in continuing to read nonnon biyori. Because I like the series. These comments over the last few weeks… are they lukewarm or is is a general lack of engagement? If it’s a lack of engagement, then I think that’s an indication of that it’s just too hard and the pace it too high. If someone is wrong on the internet, there will always be a horde of people pointing it out and elevate their own point of view. It’s like the internets version of the second law of thermodynamics, or something. If that is not happening, then it means no one is familiar enough with the text to do it.
But maybe I only think this because it fits my case. I’m glad I made it through chapter 1-3 waaay behind schedule. I haven’t engaged in any of the threads. And I just dropped by here to say that I quit… so… i don’t know… Personally I wouldn’t mind reading vol 2… But at a later date and at a slower pace.

I don’t think you’re familiar with the reading club, because everyone is pretty nice.
From what I’ve seen, everyone understands it on a reasonable level, at least the people that comment or ask questions.

I think the discussion (engagement) for each chapter has been fine for the most part. As of this chapter, there are still 13 people actively reading and 4 more catching up. So I don’t think the participation is that bad either. It’s less than Aria was at this point, but not unreasonably so.

This was meant to be a little bit hyperbolly. It was a reference to a old xkcd strip and a comment about the internet in general. My joke bombed.
I too think everyone is pretty nice here. My point was that no engagement isn’t an indication that everyone understood everything perfectly and there’s simply nothing left to be said. It’s the other way around. But maybe it is just me that is like that.

I agree, though I do think there has been some engagement. If there is less engagement than usual, I think it’s probably due to the pace. Even if some people understand most of the content or have questions, there simply may not be enough time for detailed discussion.
I think I’m used to Yotsuba where every new chapter is like 5 posts, so I see this as a lot of engagement.

Also, why are 猫 and 描 so similar.

Also, while fun, I don’t think it’s an intended pun by 夏海. Her body language is her touching her forehead because that’s where the zipper hit. Although it’s probably a pun by the author about the character herself.

Fun chapter, overall. Reminded me of when I stayed with my cousins (since I’m an only child).
I’m curious too. いかな can mean “what kind of; whatever sort of”. My best guess was that when combined with ない it could change to “no kind of”, so something like “no kind of rental store (is there / exists)”. But admittedly that’s a wild guess.
It’s not so bad in this case.
犭 is a radical for dog and is sometimes used in animal related kanji.
扌 is a radical for hand, and you do draw with your hand.
If only it were always so simple.

On page 64, top-right panel, I’m just a bit uncertain what’s going on.
Natsumi says: 評判は良かったね
And Komari answers: (I think? She talks in response, to Natsumi, right?)
なんか微妙だった
おかしいな
評判は良かったのに
So I guess that Natsumi is commenting on the fact that it was popular or well-regarded. And then Komari is expressing confusion over that. But how exactly would you interpret 微妙 here? And can anybody help me understand how the sentence fits together? Is it three unconnected phrases?

I’m voting for three connected phrases.
My impression is that Komari thinks she’s borrowed something romantic, and she rejects Natsumi’s suggestion that 感動 movies always involve people dying. When the protagonist subsequently succumbs on the next page, Komari is miffed and says “Well that was a bit complicated. And strange. In spite of it’s reputation.”
Actually I looked at the various meanings of 微妙 and am still not sure which is most accurate!
Ah, I realise that they’re connected in meaning, but I wasn’t sure whether I should be interpreting it as a “full sentence”, as it were, rather than three sequential comments. I couldn’t see how it could be a complete sentence, but as it’s one bubble I wanted to check. Your interpretation also sounds like three phrases rather than one sentence ^^
Yeah, and because I’m not quite sure what Komari’s expectation of a romantic film are…! I thought complicated made the most sense, but it seems to mean complicated in the “delicate situation” sense rather than the “confusing” sense 
Think it’s more the colloquial meaning of “not all that great”, “mediocre” sort of thing.
“That movie was… not very good. How odd, even though it was so well reviewed”
(Also, I kinda think Komari’s bubble comes first, and Natsumi is agreeing.)
