For the kanji 督 (direct, level 29), the reading is とく. I have this:
You talk to yourself a lot when you work. Unfortunately, the guy who directs you doesn’t like that. Everytime you say something, he comes over to you and says, “とく?” in his weird accent. “Do I hear とく? No とく for you.”
I’ve got different one for とり - Thorin (leader of the dwarf group in Hobbit). For the bird kanji the mnemonic is based on the great eagles saving Thorin (and the rest of the group of course).
In Batman Forever (uhh, spoilers I guess) when the bad guys attack the circus (where the clowns live), their leader is Two-Face. When he escapes he waves bye.
This is how I remember 倍 (double) / ばい .
I also remember the kanji reading for 妹 (which I used to occasionally write as めい) by thinking of Little My from the Moomins, but that’s just common sense given that she looks a bit like the jet radical.

The random thing that stuck in my head when saying the reading was “Geico” so i thought up the mnemonic “Geico has great diplomacy” like the little green lizard is a rep at the UN or something hahhaa
For the Kanji 坂, meaning slope with reading さか, I remember it by thinking about that one clickbait soccer thumbnail with the massive slope in the middle of the field. Not sure if that technically counts though because its the same mnemonic they give (soccer) but it’s adding onto it
