What is the highest you have let your reviews stack up to?

Hello again! My love for you has never diminished <3

But seriously I burned out in October in part cause I was focusing too much on catching up with you rather than my own learning but mostly because I’m a procrastinator and I’ve been reaaaaalllly busy. Well, kinda busy. Busier than usual lol. Once I get past this giant pile of reivews I’ll return to a normal pace. I’ll see you at 60

Same! If anything, the distance between us made my love for you increase

Ever thought about doing a reset? You might enjoy using that time to refresh things (kanji, vocab, grammar, etc). Just wondering. Because I wouldn’t be able to get through that many reviews, mainly when I last saw them months ago xD

I’ll be waiting for ya :v: I heard there’s cake there!

The cake is a lie, and you know it

Stop spreading gibberish, young grasshopper.

700-ish. :no_mouth: Went on a 4 day vacation and forgot to set vacation mode. It was a bleak, bleak few days after I got back.

Much internal crying was had.

And here I thought my 300+ was high… Congrats for everyone who managed to bring the numbers down again!

Probably near 130 but I am low level and clear my reviews and lessons multiple times a day.

850(ish) just last month. Ironically the problem was visiting Japan (where for the first time in months I saw little sense in spending valuable time on wanikani when I could be exploring and talking to people). I almost cleared it a few days after I returned but not doing reviews even for 5 days put me out of the swing and i’ve struggled with the queue all month. Should have set vacation mode with hindsight but you live and learn.

my first big backup was only around 300, and i got that back to 0 with some work, then my next big one was somewhere between 500-700, which was after a many week break so i realized best thing to do was drop a level and that took away some reviews, then just worked every day until i burnt out (which took longer than youd expect) and now im back on track with reviews, but lessons… thats another story…

Yup, good recommendation. Now I put it on vacation mode on weekdays, focus on school & finals, and only deactivate vacation mode if I have any spare time + on weekends. It has worked quite a bit! I’ve lowered the pile to 100 reviews now, looking forward next holidays to buuuuuurn all of that. YAH

I… uhm… let’s say I’m not the worst one.

Level 12. Horrible.

And then when I cleared that review pile, I did level 13 quickly and then got hit with the massive review backlash, so level 14 was chaos again

mine went up to 500 because i couldn’t pay for WK premium for a while… already did about 350+ reviews today, though, so it’ll all be good!

Wha, how did you get so many lessons stacked up and still level up? What level were you on when you reset?

Hi @deborahchan

You can read all about it here: How many times have you reset your level?

I can’t relate to the amount of reviews, but I can relate to using Japanese to procrastinate from school work. I’m sure my parents would wish I spent my time on school work and not hobbies.

Since then, my reviews have reached 1400>0, 1900>0, 1700>0, and I’m currently at 1,244 :upside_down_face: Reducing it slowly over time doesn’t seem to work for me, instead I spend 3-4 days in a WaniKani-shaped hole

This keeps happening because every time I go on a trip, I tell myself I’ll totallyyy do reviews but I almost never do…but the few times I do actually keep up with my reviews stops me from using vacation mode the next time
