I may just be getting the wrong end of the stick here, but I’ve noticed in the last week, since hitting level 3, that the timing and numbers of reviews seems to be all over the place. For example, today I had no reviews until 2pm. Tomorrow I will apparently have +62 reviews, but then Thursday +6. Then +30. Then +8.
For any given item it just comes back in a set amount of time depending on the SRS level it’s at. If it’s higher (you got it right in reviews more times) it will be longer before it comes back. How you time lessons etc kind of roughly determines your review schedule (eventually - you don’t get a very clear idea of it in the early stages).
Ah, but see, once you do tomorrow’s reviews, you might find that created new ones for Thursday… it’s all about the timings of lessons & reviews as described in the FAQ
I wonder how do you schedule your lessons. Do you take all available lessons in one go? If so this will create huge load of simultaneous reviews when all these lessons are scheduled by the SRS. If this is a bother to you then try to limit your daily lessons to spread the load over several days. The the review workload will be spread as well.
The only review numbers you can trust are Today’s. Basically look at the schedule as if you were not gonna touch wanikani for a week and wanted to see how many reviews would stack up. Otherwise Today is the most accurate, tomorrow has some idea of what you’ll do, but anything past that is just “whats due as of today.”
