Good luck for the FL !
Even if I do it all at max speed, it won’t be earlier than 11 jan 2023 ! But yes I’m trying to go as fast as possible (reasonably) ![]()
When do you plan to hit lvl 60 ?
Either way, that’s really good, I had a very rough time in my beginning and was extremely inconsistent, it took a while to muster up the resolve to go at this speed, but you did it from the beginning.
Been a bit of time since I calculated it, but I believe it’s about the midway point of December. Well the fast levels will probably leave me a bit of lessons left undone so I won’t be off the hook on lessons just yet, but I can start taking it easier on WK after that. Going to have to take immersion more seriously after that though.
Finally level 28, and finally got my reviews back down to 0!!!
Just two more levels to go!!!
We’re closing in on the finish line !!! I tried immersion and made a list of all the words (kanjis really) that I didn’t understood. It was around WK lvl 3, I tried reading Summer Pockets (visual novel).
I found that list of unknown words yesterday and I could almost read them all ! WK is amazing ![]()
it’s been tough getting my momentum back since last month but progress is progress! just hit 34! a slow grind but I burned about 500 items along the way
I love to see all of you motivated and running up like crazy ![]()
For me is just unreal to achieve 7 DPL as I’m doing WK in “Vanilla mode”, but if everything goes well, I expect to arrive at LVL 60 around March/2023.
Please save some cake for me there ![]()

Level 42. Apparently this is a special level, what a pleasant surprise
Reached the big 40, very happy with my progress.

I have plans to take the JLPT next July, I’m honestly lost between whether to go for the N3 or N2.
which level are you going to take? Gonna take N2 in July and it honestly is a lot more work than I expected
I think either would be fine, but if you go for N2, you have a motivation factor to study really hard and improve, and even if you fail, you have the experience and the next try should be easier for you.
am just doing N5 but I’ve not really done much other than kanji.
Been skipping for a few months, got a mountain now. Forgotten a lot but also got my first few burns.
My goal is to demolish it by Sunday this week. Letting my level 11 lessons rest.
Might not be the worst idea to reset a couple levels. In any case, good luck!
I’m considering a training script and run through them all a few times.
Oh, I don’t wanna study. I’m already so busy with college and other personal hobbies. I did the N3 practice test on the official (?) JLPT website and got a full score, originally I only planned to take the N3 but now I’m thinking of taking it a step further.
For what it’s worth, I don’t need the N2 for anything. I plan to study my masters degree in Japan once I finish my undergrad education here, but most programs offered in my field (software/comp sci) are in English anyway!
I also have to make an expensive trip to the test site, which further complicates things since I want to be sure that I’ll get a concrete degree out of it (“Failed N2” sounds less impressive than just having the N3).
Either way I plan (
) to try out the shin kanzen master books to see which one is more suitable for my level.
Hit level 24! I honestly thought last level was kinda slow but it was only an hour slower than level 22 so… it wasn’t slow.
Anyway onto continuing to get burns and getting through my big(ish) lesson pile.
I see, I don’t really know the extent to how much you’ve learnt outside of WK but if N3 practice was easy for you, you probably could do N2 as well, but of course if you just fear failing and want a certificate, then N3 is fine too
if you want to work in Japan, even in software development, having N2 really helps
