WaniKani Font Changed?

Was the font on WaniKani changed? A few days ago, I entered WaniKani, and felt like the font was different. I can’t know for sure though, because I don’t have any pictures from before.
It’s on Safari on iOS.
I actually like how it looks, but I’m just curious.

Did anyone else notice a different font?

Yes, it was changed a few days ago.

Changed text weights on characters

We finally did it. This was previewed back in March. Given the positive responses we went ahead with the change. The reason for the change is the improved legibility. It can be harder to parse when there are a lot of strokes going on. Enjoy. (The change should go live in like five minutes of this post)
