Did WaniKani just change it’s font?
If so, please go back, the new font is like Kanji Bold or something and it’s really difficult to see all the strokes. Definitely a step backwards.
I noticed a difference between my windows and mac systems. On the mac, it definitely was bolder than on the windows. I haven’t noticed this change on my iphone however.
disclaimer: I rarely study WK on my mac so I’m not sure if this is a new or old change. I noticed it last week around Thursday(?) when my pc was down.

What system are you using? Are you sure you have the fonts installed?

Windows 10, I’m just now remembering I actually just installed a Japanese keyboard a few days ago, odd of it to change today. Let me do some more research. Thank you!

There are browser extensions that let you display what font an element is using, you may be able to use that to troubleshoot.

I am on Brave browser on Windows. Thin font, but get thicker after disabling Brave shield.
I think it was thick, even with Shield On, before.

Now the website is down?
I thought the issue might have been my anti-virus (bitdefender), but having turned that off, the font was still wrong. Now the whole site is down?

It’s definitely my Windows that is messing up. I just opened WaniKani on another PC and it looks normal.
If you installed the Japanese Supplemental Fonts feature at the same time then it includes the “Meiryo” font which will change how WK looks.

I just saw that by using a WhatFont chrome extension. I assume the answer is to just delete Meiryo all together from windows right? (I’ll let ya know haha)
