The name Rento is fairly common, but this kanji version is quite unique. Sadly, there aren’t any famous 漣斗s we can mention, but you should be proud of yourself for reaching this level in WaniKani and mastering such a high-level name!

I tried to rustle up at least one person with 漣 as part of their given name with a cursory rummage through Wikipedia, but I can only find some for whom its their entire given name, like movie actor 大杉 漣, or stage and TV actor 桐山 漣. I turned to Google and asked it to give me just one example, and the AI responded
I wonder if Rento and Jourm ever hang out together.
(Still, if we’re gonna start using proper nouns as vocab scaffolds, maybe now’s the time to introduce 那覇 as a vocab item for the 覇 kanji.)
I really appreciate the well-organized level of detail here. So many apps just change things underneath the user without any notification. The wanikani approach is so much better.
