Typing ページ troubleshooting

I’m on level 10 lesson learning the kanji for “page”. In the quiz when I type ページ in both pe-ji and pe-zi on the keyboard neither are accepted.
Has anyone else had this problem. I don’t know how to get around it.
Thanks

Are you sure you’re asked for the reading and not the meaning?

Thanks for your reply, it’s definitely asking for the katakana

pe-ji should work afaik. Have you tried disabling your IME and inputting straight into wanikani?

Also try turning any script off if you use them.

i had the same problem that op mentioned happen to me with tsurukame

Do you know of a way around it?

I don’t know what scripts are good since I don’t use the browser version, but you can probably find something that allows you to “cheat” it.
The kanji seems to just be missing ぺーじ unlike the word.

Are you experiencing this issue on a mobile app by chance? We have had several users using third-party apps like Smouldering Durtles or Tsurukame message us saying they can’t correctly answer 頁 on these apps, but on desktop or mobile browsers, it’s fine.

If you’re having this problem on a mobile app, contact that app’s developer.

If you’re having it on a browser, let me know your device, OS version, and browser version, and we can investigate.

Aye, is there any chance the first letter is being automatically capitalised? Because that would yield the mixed-kana ペーじ, which isn’t accepted. Unfortunately, ペ and ぺ are near-identical, so it’s hard to tell them apart by eye.

Nah, both accept both readings, at least in vanilla WaniKani, they’re just not displayed on the listing like that.
