Not that often, I usually have to replace one or two every time I add a new level’s worth
As a new user of WaniKani, I find this Kanji wall a very encouraging thing to look at . It’s a pretty good way of looking at your progress and it looks pretty as well
After a burn, you could “remove” that. Also, simple characters like in N5 usually can be remembered forever.
It’s not really to help remember or anything, just a cool visual of my progress and source of motivation. I still have plenty of room and want to see whats its like when I have over 2,000
I actually wanna try doing this. It’s a great way to see your progress and also randomly quizing yourself.
They look fabulous
Wow, that is just so awesome!
Level 40 update! Things are starting to get out of hand…
I just checked, and my WaniKani birthday is July 17th - in 2 days! I’m pretty happy with my pace. Upcoming levels are quick levels so 50/60 should be quicker
I love this! The bright colors look so motivating and it’s cool to see the photos at different stages of The Wall.
(If you start running out of room maybe you can move the burned kanji to the ceiling? Or put them in the bathroom?)
Do you write these down a few times beforehand? Your hand writing looks pretty darn good!
ありがとう〜
I barely ever practice handwriting (aside from this) and probably should more - I can write barely any of the kanji I can read from memory. I guess I’ve just gotten adept at using the sharpie and go slowly. Over time I’ve also gotten familiar with all the radicals/stroke order. Occasionally I throw out and redo one if it looks pretty bad but I don’t want to waste too many sticky notes.
Somehow my Japanese handwriting seems to be much better than my English, but I think it just comes down to me taking more time with it.
This is a great idea. I makes me want to do something similar!
Keep up the amazing work man!
