I thought you might like to know that one akutagawa winner I read recently, 蹴りたい背中, I also didn’t find to be very confusing. It deals with the confusing themes of being a teenager, (not) fitting in, love etc. All the fun stuff. But the writing and happenings itself weren’t very confusing imo.
