Kinda tough level, not really due to the items, but life happened and I had to lower the amount of reviews I could do for 2 days, and did only Apprentice items. Led to almost 300 reviews waiting for me this morning! I did them all, and there are still 180 reviews up coming for today. It will be over 500 total reviews at the end of the day, so much!
Didn’t feel good so couldn’t focus well, and made a bunch more mistakes on older items than usual. But oh well, they will come back later, and I will just have to get them right.
23 days it took me to make it through the last level. This was my own fault, I was away on holiday and thought I could keep up with my regular lessons and reviews. Incorrect. I ended up swimming - nearly drowning - in apprentice level item soup and nothing was staying in my head. I’m too embarrassed to say how many reviews I was having to do each day. So I swallowed my pride, and for the last month or so I’ve been doing only five lessons a day. I was thinking maybe I’d go back to the standard 15 which I’d done steadily up to now, once things were “under control”, but it strikes me that at this point it’s more important for me to read every day and try to consolidate my knowledge - so I’ll stick with five lessons a day for now. Glad I plumped for that life subscription when it was on offer in January!
The first painful stage level was surprisingly less painful then a couple of the previous stage levels. Hoping I can ride that wave out a bit longer before it get more hellish.
Handled it a bit better than last level. Nothing really eventful, definitely no need to cram in almost 600 reviews in a day for this one! I find recalling / memorising kunyomi quite a bit harder than onyomi in general.
Next level, 54, has the most vocabs of the remaining levels. I like to think that means it only gets easier after that!
I feel randomly more fired up today than usual and did 60 lessons, instead of the planned 40 lessons. So I got 0/0 for this level quite a bit sooner than usual. Maybe it’s because I sense tomorrow I will be quite busy, so I want to get this over with first? Maybe the vocabs didn’t feel that hard so I just kept adding the lessons?
Did a total of 423 reviews today too. I feel like I got more wrong than usuals, but I think thats just the massive amount of reviews. The % is roughly the same.
My first 0/0 streak post with the latest dashboard update. Even though I got this already on Tuesday, I didn’t get around to make this post until now (3 days later).

I increased the number of lessons to have 120-150 reviews per day, this has proven to be quite the step-up in intensity but nothing impossible.
Unfortunately I’m not having much free time to study grammar lately, so I added Bunpro to my SRS roster to at least spend a handful of minutes per day to keep some concepts in mind.
Source of immersion these days: games and music; I’m playing the new Atelier game (Red alchemist and white guardian), trying to focus on the dialogue to catch as many words I know as possible.
Slowly reaching the end! Today and yesterday was very tough cause I was slacking off 2 days before that… and the reviews piled up. Had to do a lot of reviews to make sure I keep my 0/0 streak going. Very tiring, 537 reviews ytd, and 351 today. Pretty sure I got some of them wrong today cause my brain was too tired. I could slow down, but I’m way too stubborn for that!
The number of times I can do this kinda post is less than the number of fingers on my hand! I might miss this after its all over. Will have to do some reviews over my burnt kanji to make sure I don’t forget them. I’m sure I will forget some of them. Along with actually using them by reading more.
So close! I can feel the fatigue from doing the fast levels at full speed. My accuracy on older items aren’t that great, there’s only so much focus one can do with around 300 reviews and 30-35 lessons every day.. But I can focus on those after I hit lv60, since no more new lessons.
At this rate, in just 7-8 days I will reach lv 60.
